Splicing Service
At Sydney Rigging Specialists we are able to provide splicing to the highest standards. All our splicing methods have been independently tested by being broken on load benches. Thus we have been able to identify where a splice will break and have developed our splicing methods to increase the breaking strengths of our splices. Sydney Rigging Specialists have their own load bench which we use to pre-stretch & settle our splices.

Large Range of Cordage Stocked
Sydney Rigging Specialists stocks an extensive range of cordage both in High Tech & Low Tech fibres. We endeavour to be able to give our customers a good choice of colours in common size ranges in all materials. We stock standard Double Braids, Spectra Braids, Vectran Braids, Lightning Lines, Dinghy Lines, Hi-Tech Covered Spectra, Dynex 75 & Dux. In stock we also carry
a large range of Nylon Double Braid used in mooring lines.
In plain cores Dynex SK75 is carried from 1.1mm to 16mm, Dynex Dux is stocked from 7mm to 13mm. We also have in stock standard Spectra & Vectran cores up to 11mm in diameter.
Also we have many specialists cover only such as Spectra Hollow Braid manufactured by Cousins in France, Vectran & PBO Cover only.
If we do not have a material or colour that you require we are able to get this manufactured as a made to order product if at least a 100m roll is being purchased. |

Sydney Rigging Specialists & Donaghys Cordage
We have been working with Donaghys cordage now for over six years, working as the on water tester & ideas men. The relationship that has developed between Sydney Rigging Specialists & Donaghys have produced many developments in cordage. The area where there has been the most development is in the cover technology. Different fibres & methods of braiding have been tested to a point now where both companies feel that the product produced by Donaghys is second to none on the market at present.
Donaghys have worked with us, custom braiding the line that has been used in such projects as Kokomo 146, Morning Glory, Wild Oats 11, Alfa Romeo & Telefonica Movie Star. Most other projects that we have been involved with have been using standard products that are produced by Donaghys.
An enormous amount of Donaghys "Stock Range" of cordage is stocked in our factory and we are able to sell this to you in either reels or cut lengths. |

"Stronger than Steel, light as a Feather" is an advertising line used for Dynex SK75 & Dynex Dux. This slogan could not be more correct, in fact both products float.
Sydney Rigging Specialists recognised the great properties of Dynex a number of years ago & have developed a very good relationship with the manufacturer Hampidjan over these years. We have moved Dynex & now Dynex Dux into markets such as stunt rigging, yachting, helilifting, tow lines, circus acts, kite boarding, water skiing/wake boarding, film production and many more purposes.
For many of our custom projects in yachting we use Dynex or Dux cores & then get the cover overbraided on by our friends at Donaghys.
By using the Dynex & Dux cores we are able to manufacture ropes to a diameter that is small & light enough to handle.
The 12 strand construction means that Dynex & Dux holds it shape when passing around sheaves under load.
Sydney Rigging Specialists carry in stock Dynex from 1.1mm to 16mm and Dux from 7mm to 13mm. Larger sizes will be ordered in when required.
